Kimberly Rabago, Board President

Kimberly Rabago is a Master Level Social Worker since 2006. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development from Rosemont College and went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Widener University. Kimberly interned at Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley before taking on a position as a Program Manager, than Director of Development. Kimberly pursued her passion in healthcare and began working at The Gift of Life Donor Program as a Hospital Liaison. While there, Kimberly planned and delivered educational offerings surrounding organ and tissue donation to the hospital care team. She moved into the Family Support Services department at Gift of Life as a Family Support Counselor. Kimberly provided supportive counseling and resources to donor families during the difficult time as they grieved the loss of a loved one. She is very proud of her time working with families. Along with her work with grieving families, she also prepared and taught the Thanatology certificate program at Bucks County Community College for four years. Over the years, Kim has presented a number of times on the topic of loss and grief. Most recently she presented at the 4th Annual Social Work Conference. Currently her role as the Oncology Social Worker at Grand View Hospital allows her to provide supportive counseling and resources to patients, caregivers and loved ones to help navigate through living with a cancer diagnosis.

Heather Miller, Secretary LCSW

Heather Miller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in profit and non-profit social service organizations and with an extensive background in supervision, quality assurance, and records management. She has established an accomplishments-driven career highlighted by rapid acceleration to increasingly responsible positions. She brings extensive experience across many social service program areas such as Outpatient counseling, Case management, Holocaust/Claims Conference, Adoption, Child Welfare, and Volunteer services.

Martin Mersky, Treasurer MD

Dr. Mersky is a highly accomplished medical professional with a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of internal medicine, specifically focused on geriatrics. Graduating from Jefferson Medical College in 1975, Dr. Mersky completed an intensive internal medicine residency program in 1978, further enhancing his knowledge and skills. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the medical community, Dr. Mersky served as a medical director in the field of hospice care. In this capacity, he collaborated closely with social workers and grief counselors to ensure holistic and compassionate care for terminally ill patients and their families, reflecting his deep-rooted compassion and dedication to supporting individuals during challenging times. Beyond his medical and philanthropic pursuits, Dr. Mersky nurtures a passion for gardening, tending to plants with precision and care. He finds solace in the beauty of nature and the therapeutic aspects of nurturing a vibrant garden. Furthermore, Dr. Mersky explores his artistic side through photography, capturing moments of natural splendor.

Mindy Snyder, Board Member

Mindy Snyder has concentrated her practice on domestic relations/family law matters for 30 years, and handles a variety of issues including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony/spousal support, protection from abuse, adoption, grandparents’ rights and pre-nuptial agreements. Ms. Snyder is a lifelong resident of Bucks County. She graduated from Neshaminy Maple Point in 1982 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in History from Penn State University in 1986. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1989 from Benjamin Cardoza School of Law, which is part of Yeshiva University in New York City. She is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania State Bar, New Jersey State Bar, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She has continuously practiced law primarily in Bucks County, and surrounding counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1989.

Melissa Wombwell-Twersky, Board Member

Melissa Wombwell-Twersky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in the field for the past 25 years with an emphasis on Hospice and Palliative Care for the last 15 years. She currently works for Temple University Hospital as a Palliative Care Social Worker and as a CEU Course Instructor for Temple University. Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from West Chester University in 1997 and received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University in 2002. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network.
