We are a nonprofit, community-based bereavement resource, supporting children and families through grief.
Our mission is to guide and comfort grieving families, educate about loss, and provide a support network to those we serve.
We welcome and value diverse traditions, heritages and experiences. We commit to maintain an environment that embraces our differences to enrich not only the lives of the clients we serve, but the community as a whole.
HOW WE HELP
Nearly 2.5 million children under the age of 18 will lose one or both parents.
Grieving children are at risk of depression, anxiety, poor school attendance, dropping out of school, drug and alcohol abuse, promiscuous behavior, incarceration and suicide. In fact, many bereaved children are misdiagnosed with ADHD because they struggle with issues normal in childhood grief.
Without help, education and support, this grief remains unresolved.
If we teach crucial coping skills at an early age, children can communicate their feelings, know they are supported, and be equipped to handle future challenges.
— We Educate
We offer consultations on grief-related matters to business, schools, churches, and organizations, by addressing the systemic impacts of loss. Our experienced staff can offer in-services and trainings to increase grief awareness and knowledge within the Bucks County community about grief-related topics. Fees vary.
— We Support
Our clinicians provide individualized grief counseling for individuals and families encountering death or end-of-life issues. We serve clients stating at age three through older adults. Workshops are offered throughout the year for children and families who are grieving. Fee for service: funding options can be discussed at time of intake.
— We Teach
We offer both open and closed format Support Groups both onsite at our office as well as on location when there is enough interest. These groups offer connection and caring for grieving children, teens, and adults. Fee for service: Funding options can be discussed at time of intake.
