Hands Holding Hearts is a 501(c)(3) staffed by a licensed clinical social worker and volunteers trained in supporting grieving children and families.
Our volunteers have worked in hospice settings, education and medical fields. All staff and volunteers receive ongoing training and have completed child abuse and criminal background checks.

Amy Keiper-Shaw, President

Amy Keiper-Shaw graduated from Cedar Crest College Magna Cum Laude with a dual degree in Psychology and Social Work. Amy furthered her studies at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Grief Counselor. She also received training to become a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional through IATP. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
For several years she was employed in the field of psychiatric social work focusing on maintaining positive emotional health and re-hospitalization prevention. Amy has provided individual and group counseling in outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospital settings. She was a bereavement counselor for a hospice program for over a decade and has been facilitating a bereavement camp for children for more than 12 years. She is a Certified Grief Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
She has presented on topics such as palliative and hospice care, pet loss, compassion fatigue, grief and loss, and children’s grief. She is a regular blogger for twopedsinapod.org, a pediatric wellness website. She is an active volunteer in her community and volunteered as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for many years and is a Women’s Build volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
Currently Amy was selected to participate in the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce Leadership program.
Amy is a mother of two children and many pets. She and her family live in Bucks County,Pa.
Michael is a seasoned professional with over 30 years diverse experience ranging from a combat medic in the Army (1991-1995) to a Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of a CCRC. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Pennswood Village, Newtown, PA.
He holds an MBA from Holy Family University (2009) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He also serves as the Treasure on the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce Board and is an active Board member for Friends Serves for the Aging (FSA). Michael serves as a surveyor for CARF International. Michael is actively involved in the accreditation process and implementations of CARF standards.
Michael has been married to his wife, Dawn, for 17 years and they have two children. They live in Bucks County, PA. In his spare time he enjoys being outside skiing, golfing or long motorcycle rides through the countryside.
Patrick Kenny is a hospice nurse at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA. He is also a nursing professor at Jersey College in NJ. Patrick also has extensive experience wotking with children with psychiatric challenges.
Janet works as the Director of Allied Health at Bucks County Community College. She is completing her PhD.
Bryant worked in the insurance industry for 25 years. He was the operations Manager responsible for several propreties in Montgomery County, PA.
Currently, Bryant is the Facility Director at Pennswood Village in Newtown, Pa. In 2016 he earned his FMP (Facilities Management Professional) credential from Villanova University and his CSITMS certification from the NRPA. This year Bryant was selected to participate in Leading Age's "Fellows in Leadership" program.
